# Base Trading Contest

Starting with **$50,000+ in prizes** — plus a **growing prize pool**.

* 💰 **Prize:** **Over $50,000 USDC + up to 50% of Definitive Base revenue**
* 🥇 **Winners:** Up to **50** top traders by **PnL on Base**

### Overview

The contest is split into multiple rounds, with a **minimum of $25,000** distributed to winners **each round**.

To give every trader more chances to win, the **leaderboard and prize pool reset** at the start of each round.

Round-specific prizes will be awarded out at the end of each round. End-of contest bonus prizes will be awarded at the end of Round 2. Prizes will be sent to the winners' Definitive trading vault on Base as USDC.

### Grow the prize pool, unlock more winners

**More volume = more winners + bigger prizes.**

Every trade adds to the prize pool - and as it grows, we'll be unlocking up to **50 winners**.

We’ll be contributing up to **50% of our Base revenue** to **grow the prize pool** and **increase total winners** for each round.

Increases in prize pool size will be tracked on the Leaderboard page by clicking Base, and will reflect the prize amounts for the winning ranks.

### End-of-contest bonuses & prize distribution

At the end of the contest:

* The **#1 trader by PnL** wins **5% of all Definitive revenue on Base** of the contest period.
* **Special bonus prizes** will also be awarded (to be announced).

Prize distribution:

* Round 1 Winners - prizes have been sent directly to your Definitive Base Trading Vault as USDC.
* Round 2 Winners - prizes will be distributed as staked EDGE to your Definitive account.

### Refer and win

Not the best trader but know someone who is?

If you **refer any trader who becomes a winner**, you’ll earn **10% of their total prize value** at the end of the contest.

NOTE: All winners will be subject to review for authenticity and fair play. Rankings may change due to audits at the final time of prize distribution.
